Install the KnowFirm MCP server

Give your AI assistant KnowFirm's KYB tools — verify, enrich, sanctions-screen and discover U.S. businesses from inside the chat. Pick your client, paste the config, and bring your own API key. The server runs locally over stdio (npm @knowfirm/knowfirm-mcp) and talks only to https://knowfirm.com.

Settings → Developer → Edit Config, paste, then restart Claude Desktop. You can also import the .mcpb bundle from the knowfirm-mcp release.

Create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace — VS Code uses the "servers" key — then Start the server from the editor gutter.

What it costs

Credits are shared across the API and MCP tools. One tool call = one credit (sanctions screening uses two; batch enrich and segment export bill one per returned record). Failed calls and over-quota calls are not billed. Quotas are hard limits — there are no automatic overage charges.
