The /v1/screening endpoint screens a name against the U.S. Consolidated Screening List (CSL) — the consolidated export-screening list maintained by the U.S. Departments of Commerce, State, and the Treasury — and returns scored potential matches with a list-freshness timestamp.

• Results are informational only and are not legal advice.
• A returned match is a potential name match, not a determination; false positives and false negatives are possible. Verify any potential match against the official source (https://www.trade.gov/consolidated-screening-list) before taking action.
• This is not a substitute for a complete sanctions/AML compliance program, and does not cover every global sanctions or watchlist regime.
• Use of screening results is subject to the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

Every /v1/screening API response also carries an inline disclaimer field and the source list's listFreshness timestamp.
